The name "Sunhee's" is derived from the combination of the ends of the chefs' Korean names, Sun Hwa and Chun Hee. Just as the namesake draws upon each individual to create a single entity, Sun Hwa and Chun Hee's passion for food and complementary styles come together to form an inpeccable partnership in the kitchen.

 

Having immigrated separately to the United States in 1993, Sun Hwa and Chun Hee share in more than 30 years of cooking experience and 20 years of friendship since their first meeting at a local Korean American church, coincidentally yet very much fatefully preparing a meal together.
